Crystal Meth (crystal methamphetamine) is white crystallized powder that can be ingested by snorting, smoking, swallowing, or injecting it with a needle. It is a synthetic stimulant that affects the central nervous systems. While it is most commonly smoked, it can also be compressed into a pill form. When taken, meth creates a false sense of happiness, a rush of confidence, hyperactivity, and energy which develops a strong desire for continued use. These effects last between 6 to 8 hours but can last up to 24 hours. Crystal meth is within the same class of drugs as cocaine and it is illegal.
