National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week is Here!
January 22 to 28, 2018 is National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW)!
During this week, students are connected with scientists and experts to debunk the myths that are out there about drugs and alcohol. It started in 2010 with scientists at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) so that teens could learn the facts and science behind drug use and addiction.
Every year, NIDA scientists host a Drugs & Alcohol Chat Day where students can register and ask scientists any question they’ve been wanting to know about alcohol and other drugs! Visit nidachat.org/register.aspx to join in on this national conversation!
Students from all across the nation will be putting on educational events as part of NDAFW so be sure to visit teens.drugabuse.gov to learn more about what’s happening in your area and get more information on the week!
Check out our blog this week for regular postings on alcohol and other drug information in commemoration of this week!
